Walked in around 4:30pm on a Saturday. A man greeted my husband and I, giving us a menu, clear and concise directions, and ample space and time to deliberate. All the tables were clean. All the floors were clean. The bathrooms were clean. Every space my nosy eye could see, was clean, even around the soda machine and under the video games. Ordered fried mushrooms with ranch dip, cheese sticks, a small cheese pizza, order of fries, Buffalo chicken sub with blue cheese dressing on the side, Italian sausage sub, and two fountain drinks. The sodas were crisp with perfect balance of syrup and bubbles. Waffle fries were hot and crispy, with a clean finish and slight sweetness, like fresh oil was used. Cheese pizza was hot and bubbly, just perfect, and reheated well later at home too. Cheese sticks were crisp outside gooey inside and not one of them were popped. Ranch dip was fresh. Italian sausage was cut in half lengthways (see picture) and grilled with onions and bell peppers. Buffalo chicken sub consisted of fresh fried chicken tenders, Buffalo sauce, crisp shredded iceberg lettuce, and fresh, crisp Roma tomato slices. Update 1/31/25 Definitely not happy, I was hoping for better after my last visit in December. Ordered two pies but My pie was still overcooked, burnt edges and the bottom was on the dark side, it did not taste good even after trying a slice and being disappointed. I don’t get it, their food used to be pretty good and I never had an issue before but now twice in a row, just bad. Even my mother couldn’t finish her individual size taco pizza. If their food is on a timed cook then I think either they need to adjust their temps or their time. Pizzas shouldn’t be charred around the crusts. A little in the brown side, sure. Melted cheese, absolutely. But hitting the black zone and even tasting rather over done? Nope. Thinking I’m gonna have to write this joint out and just go to Pizza Hut now, and that’s really sad…. ———————— This is unfortunate. I've loved this place since the Harker heights days. My go to was always the chicken bacon ranch. The crust was fluffy along with the toppings. This, if you like to call it pizza, is atrocious. Cracker thin crust and thrown about toppings? Are you serious? I understand ozempic is the new trend but to my pizza?? Wow is all I have to say. I understand it was 45 minutes before closing but If you didn't want to make my pizza then you could have said no. Is that why my side of anchovies were free? Service girl was amazing.
